ingredients:
2 cups chopped broccoli (about a head of broccoli)
1 cup grated cheese (it can be cheddar, mozzarella, or any cheese of your choice)
2 eggs
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)
1 clove of garlic, minced (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Steam the broccoli for about 5 minutes, or until tender. Then filter it well and leave it to cool.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked and chopped broccoli with the grated cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are completely combined.
Heat some oil in a large frying pan over medium to high heat.
Using a large spoon, scoop out portions of the broccoli and cheese mixture and place them in the hot pan. Use the back of a spoon to flatten each portion slightly into a pancake shape.
Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden and crisp.
After they are cooked, remove the pancakes from the heat and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
