Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 5 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Make the Cake Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
3. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until well combined and creamy.
4. Assemble the Cake:
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the top of the batter.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Make the Glaze:
While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
7. Finish the Cake:
- When the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake.
8. Serve:
