Ingredients

For the fritters:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the batter:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.

2. Heat the oil:

  1. In a deep skillet or fryer, heat about 2 inches of oil to 350°F (175°C).

3. Fry the fritters:

  1. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to avoid overcrowding.
  2. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

4. Make the glaze:

  1. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

5. Glaze the fritters:

  1. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters or dip them in the glaze for a delicious finish.

6. Serve:
