Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Honey Sriracha Sauce:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
For Garnish:
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped green onions
Instructions:
- Prepare Chicken:
- In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until well coated.
- Cook Chicken:
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger (if using).
- Combine Chicken and Sauce:
- Pour the honey sriracha sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add the cooked chicken pieces back into the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the chicken.
- Serve:
- Transfer the Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites to a serving dish. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Enjoy your sweet and spicy Honey Sriracha Chicken Bites as an appetizer, snack, or even as a main dish with rice or vegetables!
